Plant-Type Zanpakuto in Bleach?

Did you ever think about what your Zanpakuto would look like if you were a head captain of the 13 court guards? Or maybe you’re a fan of Bleach and fantasized about how you’d look with your own zanpakuto.

I asked local artist Al-Benladin Hadji-Usop to reimagine me as a bleach captain, and this is his artistic interpretation made for me.

Captain Sensus

Zanpakuto: Yūdoku shokubutsu (Poisonous Plant)

Zanpakuto release command: Strangle, Yūdoku shokubutsu (絞め殺す, Shimekorosu)

Yūdoku shokubutsu is a plant-type zanpakuto. In its unreleased state, it is characterized by a green and black checkered hilt. The zanpakuto is also encased in a green sheath with yellow accents. Yūdoku shokubutsu is perfect against water-type zanpakuto as they increase my zanpakuto’s power 10 folds. However, fighting a Fire-type zanpakuto is a big threat.

Shikai Form

Shikai: Yūdoku shokubutsu’s release command is Strangle. Yūdoku shokubutsu’s blade glows in green light and transforms into a whip-like sword that extends and retracts on the liking of the bearer.

Yūdoku shokubutsu has the ability to grow roots from the ground and then shoot them at the enemy in order to bind or strangle them to death.

The roots can be manipulated in different ways such as wrapping around an opponent’s body or even shooting out of the ground at them like missiles.

Another ability of this zanpakuto is that it can sprout vines from its hilt in order to entangle opponents or even use it as a whip against someone who tries to escape from its grasp/embrace it tightly while releasing their own energy which causes an explosion upon contact with each other resulting in massive damage done to both parties involved regardless of how strong one may be compared to another foe/enemies.

Shikai Special Ability: When in blade form, Yūdoku shokubutsu is laced with poison that causes hallucinations when cut. When cut five times, your opponent shall fall into a deep slumber.

Additionally, Yūdoku shokubutsu can be used to create an impenetrable barrier around an area to protect it from enemies (or yourself if you’re feeling reckless).

This technique requires concentration and focus in order to create something useful but when done correctly it can keep anyone out who doesn’t have the ability to break through its defenses after doing so several times over!

Bankai Form

Bankai: In Bankai form, Yūdoku shokubutsu merges with my body to create multiple extensions of my forelimbs as if they were branches in a tree. And the end of my hands is large red thorns that project string-like extensions laced with more potent poison compared to my shikai. It has the power to decay any organic matter or flesh that it comes in contact with or stings.

My bankai’s weakness is that my entire body attaches itself to the ground using strong roots. This makes me immobile while I am in bankai state. My string-like branches, however, can extend up to 1 kilometer in radius.

I can also use my bankai for transportation purposes by sending multiple vines to wrap around an object and pull it towards me at high speeds.

I can also use them for anchoring myself in place by wrapping them around objects such as trees and rocks to keep myself from drifting away from my current position.

What do you think of my Shinigami powers?
